From
9th to 10th, August, ¡°2006 International Conference on
Occupational Safety Training¡± jointly hosted by State
Administration of Work Safety and International Labor
Organization and sponsored by State Administration of Work
Safety China Coal Information Institute was held successfully in
Beijing Great Wall Hotel. The primary purpose of this conference
was to further enhance the international communication and
cooperation in safety training, to learn the successful practice
and experiences of world developed counties in safety training,
and to promote more effective development of safety training
work in China. A total of more than 100 persons, including Vice
director of State Administration of Work Safety Sun Huashan,
director of Personnel Training Office of State Administration of
Work Safety Huang Yuzhi, director of International Labor
Organization Beijing Bureau Ms. Connie, commercial minister of
Australian Embassy in China Mr. He Weide, as well as officials,
experts and deputies from international and domestic relevant
organizations attended the meeting. Vice director Sun Huashan
and Ms. Connie delivered important speeches at the opening
ceremony, stressing the vital significance of safety training
for work safety. President of China Coal Information Institute
Huang Shengchu gave enthusiastic speech, extending heartfelt
gratitude to the leaders and the distinguished guests for their
vigorous support as well as warm welcome and sincere greeting to
everyone present at the meeting. |
In-depth discussion and exchange on such
subjects as ¡°Building of Work Safety Training System, Policies and
Measures on Work Safety Training at State and Enterprise Level,
Construction of Safety Education and Training Facilities, Training
Experiences and Methods, Safety Training Teaching Materials, Curriculum
Arrangement, Safety Training Performance Evaluation and Safety Training
Informationalization¡± were made in the meeting.
Vice director of Personnel Training Office of State Administration of
Work Safety Zhang Pingyuan gave an all-dimensional introduction to the
nationwide current status of work safety training in China, the
problems, as well as their countermeasures; such representatives from
the training organizations as Ms. Kathy. Walker from Canadian Auto
Workers Union, Mr. Trevor. Sun of Hong Kong Workers¡¯ Health Center, and
senior lecturer Chen Fengmian from Beijing Yanshan Petrol-Chemical
Education Training Center made in-depth exchange and discussion on
safety training system, and training methods; such representatives from
universities and research institutes as doctor Gerry. Tian from The
University of Missouri-Rolla, U.S., vice dean of Continuing Education
School, China University of Petroleum, Liu Yunqiu, director of the
Institute of Instrumentation Technology and Economy Shi Xueling, and Mr.
David. Ficott from New Zealand Wellington Victoria Asian Research
Institute shared with us their research fruits and training experiences;
such enterprise representatives as vice secretary of Jixi Coal Industry
group Yao Baozhu introduced to us their precious practice experiences;
in addition, general manager of Xian Helide Information Technology
Corporation Zhao Junxiao gave an incisive exposition on the topic
¡°Migrant Workers¡¯ Training and Informationalization Development¡±. Some
other experts and leaders made a profound explanation on the specific
technologies and their respective practice experiences in a simple way.
Representatives, during the two-day meeting, exhibited the latest
domestic and international research fruits, and introduced valuable
practice experiences. This meeting shall lay a sound foundation for the
domestic and international cooperation and exchange in the field of work
safety training, and will surely exert a positive influence on the
steady improvement of work safety status.
