Sino-England carbon emission
reduction technology program scores fresh progress
Recently, many foreign research institutes universally predict that
global temperature will rise significantly, leading to the weather
change which will become the global anxiety and as well as a grave
challenge human beings will ever face. China, with its growing increase
in demand for energy as a result of rapid economic growth as well as its
susceptibility to weather change, has kept a close eye on energy safety
and had a profound feeling for weather change so that the reduced
emission of such greenhouse gas as carbon dioxide has become the general
concern of the whole society.
Carbon emission reduction technology is, up till now, one of the most
effective and important technical means for the reduced emission of
greenhouse gas. However, there are very few such technologies and even
fewer practical technologies. Recently, our institute has carried out
cooperation with UK Department of Trade and Industry in carbon emission
reduction program, gained substantial progress, and published a series
of latest materials on carbon emission reduction technology, which are
mailed for free to domestic research and teaching institutes as well as
enterprise and government units for reference so as to jointly boost the
concern for weather change as well as the industrial action for slowing
down the weather change with a view to solving he weather change caused
by the human beings with the technologies human beings invented.
