Experimental Evaluation on Conductivity of Hydraulic Fracturing in CBM Wells
Wang Chunpeng£¬Zhang Shicheng£¬Wang Lei£¬Tang Huaiyi and Cui weixiang
£¨Oil and Gas Engineering College of Petroleum University, Beijing 102249£©

Abstract: An all-round introduction is given mainly on experimental evaluations on the conductivity of hydraulic fracture in CBM wells. Compared to sandstone, a coalbed features lower rigidity, leading to more serious proppant embedment in hydraulic fracturing and thus the descent of conductivity, which could be eased by increasing the consistence of sand filling. Since the closure pressure of coalbed is a key parameter, the experimental comparison of influence on coalbed conductivity is made under different closure pressures between the proppant crushing and embedment, consistence of sand filling and quartz sand proppant diameter. The conclusions drawn in this paper can be used to guide the future study of CBM and field performance.

Abstract: CMM currently is mainly used in domestic fuel, power fuel and chemical materials. Based on the routine scheme of CMM utilization, two new schemes are put forward. By adopting Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology, CMM is condensed, the methane concentration being increased, and then processed to produce compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG). Taking SongZao Coal & Power Co., Ltd. as an example, the project economy of the new schemes is analyzed.

Tectonic Characteristics of Complex Fault Block in Western Margin of Ordos Basin
and Their Control on CBM
Zhang Songhang, Tang Dazhen, Li Danmei, Wang Juanru, Xu Hao and Leng Xue
(China University of Geoscience£¬Beijing 100083)

Abstract: The Ordos basin has experienced superimposing tectonic movements, resulting in the formation of current fault block aggregation which structural framework is mainly overthrust structure and complex faults, with complicated geologic condition. From the perspective of geologic evolution, this paper discusses the conformation features of fault block, emphatically demonstrates the closure property of the margin of complex fault block and the controlling of the fault block internal structure on accumulation of CBM, and points out that the synclinal and synclinorial areas of thrust fault block and structurally triangle fault block areas would be favorable for CBM occurrence.
