Analysis on CBM Competitiveness in Primary Energy Consumption Market
Zhang Suian
£¨China University of Petroleum£¬Beijing 102249£©Abstract: Based on investigations and studies on CBM utilization market for years, in-depth analysis has been made on competitiveness of CBM with primary energy such as coal, oil and natural gas. The paper has focused on analysis of advantages and disadvantages of CBM when competing with regular natural gas. Advantages mainly include cheap resources, geology, cost-effective collection, transportation and treatment, long production period and social benefits and disadvantages mainly include low output of unit well and long recovery period of investment. Results of analysis have proved that CBM has competitiveness in the primary energy consuming market to some extent.

£¨Henan University of Science and Technology£¬Henan 454000£©Abstract£º Based on the adsorption potential theory and the isotherm data measured and collected at 30¡æ of the equilibrium moisture, the adsorption potential of coals with different ranks is calculated and equivalent methane (5cm3/g) is adsorbed on these coals. The result is found out that the evolution of adsorption capacity and potential are well-regulated with coal rank. The evolution is absolutely corresponding to the coalification jump. Therefore, coalbed methane adsorption has close relationships with coal molecular structure, crystal structure and porosity.

Discussion on Enhanced CBM Recovery
Cheng Linfeng
£¨Liaohe Oil Exploration Bureau, China Petroleum Corporation, Liaoning 124010£©Abstract: CBM reservoirs are featured with complicated structures, low gas content, low permeability and low pressure in original reservoirs. Currently, enhanced coalbed methane(ECBM) is not only one of the major ways to improve recovery, but also a research focus of technology to increase production carried out by CBM development organizations at home and abroad. Based on relevant experiences collected from the oil sector, the paper has introduced the ECBM comprehensively in four aspects of mechanism of ECBM, types of enhanced well network, flowsheet of surface equipments and dynamic analysis model of gas enhancement and extraction.
