Progress of Coalbed Methane Development and  Utilization in Jincheng Mining Area
    
     Jointly implemented by Jincheng Coal Mining Administration and
 Sino-American Energy Co., Jincheng CBM project has achieved a good re
sult. So far, a group of 7 surface vertical wells have been drilled, 3
 of which are in normal production. The rest four wells will produce c
oalbed methane by the end of this year. The 3 producing wells have an 
average production of 3000mª¬3/d per well, and one well once reached t
he peak production of 12000mª¬3/d.
    While actively develops coalbed methane resource, Jincheng CMA att
aches importance to coalbed methane utilization. At present, 2x120kW C
BM-fired power generating units have been installed at the drilling si
te, and a further plan has been considered to install additional 4x220
kW units at the same site . In order to guarantee the financial result
 of the CBM-fired power plant, Jincheng CMA has agreed to buy the elec
tricity generated from the plant at local residential price. At presen
t, electricity generated by the CBM-fired power plant is mainly used f
or the construction of the new mine being built by the Jincheng CMA.(
