ESTABLISHING  THE  CLEARINGHOUSE

An agreement on the establishment of China Coalbed Methane Clearinghouse has been reached in July 1994.Mr.Wang Naixing(left in front), former Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Coal Industry, Mr. Sun Maoyuan, former Vice President of the CCII (currently Vice President of China United CBM, fourth from left in the second row), Mr. Huang Shengchu, Vice President of the CCII(second from left in the second row) and Ms. Sina Kruger (right in front ),Director of Methane and Utilities Branch of the USEPA are participating in the discussion

ORGANIZING INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES

The International Workshop on Coal Mine Methane Recovery and Utilization is held at Kunlun Hotel, Beijing in November 1998, organized by the Clearinghouse. Mr. Fan Weitang, former Vice Minister of Vice Industry, is delivering welcome address

EXPANDING INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

In February 1998£¬the Clearinghouse teams together with the British Geological Survey for the Asian Development Bank's Technical Assistance Project and prepared the report Study on the Coalbed Methane Production in China£® Mr£®Dou Qingfeng and  Mr£®Huang Shengchu welcome  Mr£®Edu.Hassing( second from left )£¬senior project official of the Bank and the specialists from the UK and the Netherlands

In March 1999, Mr. Huang Shengchu (first from right), is engaged by the Asian Development Bank as specialist for the coalbed methane project in China, Mr. Huang is working together with international consultants from the US and Australia for the ADB's project Feasibility Study for a Coalbed Methane Demonstration Project at Yangquan Coal Mines
