Objectives
The training and education on occupational safety is a major basic work in the field of occupational safety, embodying the principle of our party and government, i.e., "Safety First, Prevention Foremost". It is essential for establishing the long-term effective mechanism for occupational safety. It is also an important part of occupational safety management and supervision. As a prime means to reduce occupational accidents and diseases, the occupational safety training is given full attention in the developed countries where the low death rates of occupational accidents result from their strict and effective safety training. China should learn from them about feasible and effective experiences.

To promote occupational safety training, intensify international exchange and cooperation, and improve occupational safety situation, the State Administration of Work Safety plans to hold "International Conference on occupational Safety Training" the Great Wall Sheraton Hotel,Beijing, China on August 9-10, 2006.

Policy-makers from the competent authorities, unionists and employers, experts and scholars experienced in occupational safety training, and managers and trainers from training institutions from home and abroad, will be invited. 


Call for Papers
The Organizing Committee of 2006 International Conference on Occupational Safety Training invites you to submit an abstract for formal review. Following the review, the Organizing Committee will notify authors of acceptance of the paper for formal presentation at the conference, inclusion in the proceedings of the conference, or denial.

Abstracts (no more than 500 words in total) shall be submitted in a MS Word format in either English or Chinese. The abstracts shall be emailed to Ms. Sun Xin at sunxin@coalinfo.cn, safety@coalinfo.net.cn no later than June 15, 2006. The full paper shall be submitted no later than June 30, 2006.

Registration
The registration fee is USD $ 320 for foreign participant, including registration, materials, work meals (Two lunches and a banquet), etc., without accommodation. The participants are expected to fill the registration forms and submit them via fax or email to the organizing committee by July 20, 2006.
